a little over a week ago i received an email from a friend titled:

so i knew it was going to be a good one. it said:

i suppressed a giggle, delighted to indulge in the aura of clandestine note passing of middle school years. i replied:
edward. but i haven’t seen star trek.
this past friday i went to see star trek, which is the perfect summer blockbuster movie with pure, feel-good entertainment and now that i’ve seen the movie to make an informed decision i would just like to say that edward wins, hands down. as if there was ever any doubt.
